You know how days off are supposed to be for resting? Well, Canucks management was sure busy this week. Putting Ryan Kesler back on the injured list, putting Aaron Volpatti on waivers (where he was picked up by Washington), taking Steve Pinizzotto off IR and preparing a conditioning stint in Chicago, claiming Tom Sestito off waivers from Philly, all the back-and-forth on whether or not Andrew Ebbett was being recalled....... Thank goodness we're finally playing another game tonight!

Unfortunately, tonight's opponent is becoming one we love to hate. Despite sitting 7th in the conference right now, the Kings have won 5 straight games. They are also coming off a rest after a 2-1 win over Detroit, which followed 4-1 and 5-2 drummings of Colorado and Anaheim, respectively. Jonathan Quick has kept the net mostly to himself, with a 2.42 GAA and 0.906 SV% in 14 games.
