The Canucks' power play continues to be a concern. We didn't care so much about it last game because Henrik Sedin made Canucks history and it felt like nothing else mattered. The team won 6 in a row, didn't care much about the PP. But now the Canucks' "party" is over somewhat and the Blues roll in with the top power play in the NHL and may very well school the Canucks in this one if the Canucks take any penalties at all. Ryan Kesler adds a nice dimension 5 on 4. He was quite open on the left side and nearly scored in his first game back from injury. I should add that the Canucks have scored 10 power play goals this season, which is 13th best in the NHL. But they have had way more opportunities than most teams and so their average drops them to 20th.

The Blues have been relying heavily on the PP as they rank 23rd in the NHL 5 on 5. That's where the Canucks' bread and butter is. That was tops in the NHL until the letdown against the Stars last game.

St. Louis started the season 6-1 in their first 7 games. They then lost 5 straight to start February. Now they have won 2 in a row (against Detroit and Calgary) coming into this game. This will be a stiff test for Vancouver.

St. Louis is my pick to come out of the West this year. /dodges thrown fruit.

Look for the Hansen-Schroeder-Raymond line to step it up in this one as they all were -2 against Dallas.

Jason Garrison....Isn't it about time? Not a strong outing against Dallas.

The Blues will again look to goaltender Jake Allen to be a hero. He's earning cult status already after making what will probably end up being the save of the year against the Flames on Friday:

Lovely! The Blues drafted Allen 34th overall in 2008. The 6'2', 190 pound Allen hails from Fredericton, New Brunswick. The 22 year old has a 2-0 career NHL record (the last 2 Blues games). So he's coming into Vancouver undefeated. Let's see if he can continue his roll at the Rog.

You will notice a super kid named Vladimir Tarasenko on the Blues, who has 6 goals and 5 assists and is so far the leading candidate for Rookie Of The Year. More on him at St. Louis Game Time.
