Hunter link here. ( his surgery is actually in a month )
With the call up of Joacim Eriksson, ( his stats in the story here.) of course we know what that is in relation to. The story TBD is how seriously Big Buf's flyby tweaked whatever it tweaked for Roberto Luongo.
With the way Eriksson's been playing lately, not to mention Eddie Lack's superlative play, strong goaltending in the short term should not be a problem in games against the Flames, Flyers and Lightning.
Let's hope Luongo is 100 % for the stretch after that. The sked goes out on the road with the Kings and Ducks back to back starting Saturday the 4th of January, and then the Penguins and Blues at home, before visiting Southern Cal again for the Kings and Ducks, and Coyotes after that.
Zanstorm note: Just out of curiosity:
Lack/Eriksson: 11 games of #NHL experience. Surely a new record for a #Canucks tandem. Wonder what current record is

Also, Mike Gillis only expects Luongo to miss 7-10 days with a possible groin injury. So Gillis is more lenient on discussing injuries than Torts:
Coach Tortorella is really impressed with Lack's play, knows nothing about Eriksson, and sure as hell is not going to give injury updates, not even if you try to trick him or guilt him:
