The Canucks announced today that they have signed 25-year old backup goaltender Eddie Lack to a 2-year extension. He will be paid $1,150,000 per season starting in 2014-15. Lack would have become an unrestricted free agent this summer. Lack has a 2-2-0 record this season, along with a .911 save percentage and a 2.41 goals against average.

The 6'5" kid has shown us enough I would think, as far as his abilities go. He looks very solid so far. He just won't get a lot of playing time as long as Roberto Luongo is healthy, or wearing a Canucks jersey.

Keep up the excellent work, Eddie.
