Are you ready for this? Game 5 is going to be huge. Can the Canucks muster any sort of meaningful offence against Tim Thomas and his aggressively defensive D? The futility of Vancouver's top 6 is frustrating to watch. Watching the Sedins get beaten down is giving me flashbacks of the Nashville series. The Canucks ran out of composure, determination and desire in Boston. Will they find it back on home ice again? I think the winner of Game 5 is going to win the Cup. This is crucial stuff. Can the seemingly injured Kesler and Henrik push through the pain? Can the Bruins get that many breaks / puck luck again? Right now they are earning every one of them.
I like the Canucks' 9-3 record at home in these playoffs. I like their chances over the next three games. I know Luongo will bounce back in Game 5. Will his D tighten up a little, please? Get that first goal, boys! The Bruins' winning percentage when scoring first is sickeningly good. The Canucks' power play is sickeningly bad. They have to get more pucks through to Tim Thomas 5 on 4. They have to get dirty in front of him. As good as he is he's having a damned vacation back there too often. 40 shots last game for Vancouver? How many of them were of the useless variety? Perimeter useless garbage.
C'mon Canucks dig in deeper! You can do this! Take that momentum back!
