Plenty of hockey action this late afternoon and evening, including some interesting playoff races.  This morning, the Rangers beat the Flyers in the shootout to make the Eastern conference's race for 8th a bit more interesting.  Here's the other games to be played out today:

2:00 PDT: Sabres visit the Hurricanes.  This is definitely the key game today in the East, as Carolina can tie Buffalo for 8th with a regulation win.

2:00: Wild visit Red Wings.  The Wings can clinch the Central division with a win, while the Wild can now start playing spoilers on everyone.

2:00: Blues visit Blue Jackets in a search for relevance a battle for 12th in the West.

4:00: Lightning visit Blackhawks.  Tampa Bay will want avoid a 1st-round matchup with the Penguins by trying to take the Southeast division crown from the Capitals.  Meanwhile, Chicago needs to maintain their hold on a playoff spot.

5:00: Flames visit Avalanche.  Colorado can try to play spoilers as Calgary tries to catch up to Chicago.

5:00: Stars visit Ducks.  Probably the biggest game out West, since Dallas's odds of catching 7th-place Anaheim or 8th-place Chicago are still much better than Calgary's.

If you need a reference, here are the conference standings.

As said at BoC, go drama.
