Congrats to #18 who has come a long way from the OJHL to the starting roster for the Canucks tonight. Chris Tanev may want no part of his new job if the big guns don't cash in ahead of him which is why when your eyes aren't looking for #18, they'll be looking for #25.

Sergei Shirokov is an interesting pick to be cast as our latest savior (sorry, saviour). When we looked at him over the summer, the majority saw him as a bubble player but some pointed conditioning comments through camp blasted his chances and sunk what we thought was his last shot at the bigs. Well shut our face. With a strong season on the Moose (taking full advantage of injuries to Hodgson and Schroeder didn't hurt either), Shark ends up right back where he started last year: alongside Kesler and Sammy in the top six. Raymond and Tambellini are now bringing up the rear on an expensive fourth line and Hansen pops back up to the third.

Time to shake the cobwebs out and what better place to forget the Rangers and Wild finals than against our friends from the mountains? Here's hoping Edler can get on the board; he needs one more assist for 100 career helpers. Rally caps ready?

Tatiana: I think my mouth is too big.

James Bond: I think it's a very lovely mouth. It's just the right size - for me anyway!

The 60's were an interesting time I'm told.

Go Canucks.
