*Update* - The deal is a entry level deal worth $685,00 a season ($640,000, $690,000, $715,000).

More spring cleaning from management: word trickled out yesterday that they locked up Anton Rodin but this morning they confirmed it along with adding Swedish defenseman Peter Andersson.

Gillis has now signed four of the seven 2009 draft picks - Jordan Schroeder, Rodin, Kevin Connauton and now the fifth round, 143 pick overall in Andersson.

The 6'3'' 196 lb defenseman has been playing for Frölunda HC in the SEL and had five points (1G, 4A) in 21 games this season. He was also a member of team Sweden’s 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship team. From Hockey's Future:

Andersson is a big defenseman that plays a solid two-way game. His hockey sense is good and offensively he stands out with pretty good top speed, puckhandling and a quite powerful slapshot. Defensively, he is usually in right position, but sometimes tends to not play it simple enough when in control of the puck.
