Forget game 1, put it way back in the rear view. Forget the dominance Vancouver flexed at ES, forget "the save", forget Sammy's heroics and Edler's Superfly Snuka routine. Hit reset.
Unless Murray really misses golf, he should do a better job at matching up against the Sedins, freeing up his first line and hammering home the forecheck. By dropping Jones and Williams and promoting Simmonds to the first line, he's already on the scramble. Will that be enough to stop the Sedins and close the gap at ES? On the other hand, AV needs to promote a bit more toughness without starting a parade to the box. Otherwise we'll take more of the same: don't give 'em an inch, outwork them along the boards and - if possible - the Kesler and Wellwood lines can factor in the scoring. Get to Quick early and often. Anything (legal) to rattle him is a win.
78%. Based on last season, those are the odds of winning the series when you take the first two games. Win tonight and tighten the noose.
