Have you ever noticed how long a two day break from hockey feels? It's remarkable, like Saturday never happened (and considering the outcome, that may be appropriate).
I sense the fair-weather wind blowing around these days (not necessarily in them here web pages, but in general). Starting with a base of "our goalie sucks" stuff, sprinkled in with a dash of this SOB/Alberts drama and topped off with off with a dose of "they can't beat the elite teams" complaints. Mix it all together and, as you may guess, it tastes like crap.
Maybe they stalled, but that's the extent of it. And tonight is a great test to kill three birds with one Sami Salo slap shot. Luongo needs a big game again and he knows it. The SOB nonsense will settled itself off ice whereas Alberts just needs to recommit to the simple stuff and drop the pylon act. And lastly, believe it or not, Phoenix is shaping up to be an elite team (you don't get 100 points in the NHL by dumb luck). A win tonight - a convincing win ideally - should help silence the people pissing in the punch bowl.
I thought I had an appetite for destruction... but all I wanted was a club sandwich.
