By the time you'll be reading this, I will have (a) eaten a lot of meat and - thanks to the magic of tryptophan - likely passed out in the coat closet; (b) endured more than one conversation about how I am not wearing the right clothing to a family event or became an unwilling participant in some medical ailment conversation that should never be talked about over a meal; (c) will have found my only alcoholic beverage options are either Corona or Corona Light; and (d) will have watched the Detroit Lions lose 100-2.

What better time to reference 300?

Not that I would have forgotten we have a hockey game to attend to, a clash between third place teams in their respective divisions and an opponent we last saw a few weeks ago when Vancouver edged out the Kings 2-1 in the shootout during Facepalm's first game in net. Certainly not. I expect a motivated Vancouver team, especially after their loss to Chicago. I expect a win. And I expect Rick Rypien to fight Raitis Ivanans even though he really shouldn't be.

"This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this. I'm not your King...". Damn straight. Here's your game thread ladies and gentlemen.
