A simple game between two Canadian teams? Maybe one group looking for their first win and the other looking to be .500 for the first time this year? One team badly needs a goalie and the other needs to stop getting injured? Go the TMZ route and focus on two quarreling GM's? Hey, maybe it's about the fat guy (not Donuts, the other one): #KyleWellwoodIsSoFat was a trending topic over on Twitter yesterday and most people with a sense of humor had a good laugh. Let's be blunt, fat people can be funny, just deal with it.

So pick whatever angle you'd like, they're all relevant. But when the puck drops, Vancouver needs to play as they did in Chicago: start strong, do the right things defensively, own the boards, pepper Joey MacDonald and his .857 S% liberally and punish Toronto's league worst PK if given the chance. Everything else will fall into place after that.

It doesn't matter who is across the ice: if they forget the game is 60 minutes, get goaded into stupid penalties or the defense feeds Luongo a string of odd-man rushes again, they won't walk away with the points. And with five games in the next six seven days - including a pair of them against strong Western teams - there's no time like the present to get on a bit of a winning streak.

Here's your gameday thread. Let's show this prehistoric bitch how we do things downtown...throw it!
