Canucks feeling Minnesota?

New, comments
I know Pavol Demitra is going to play inspired against the Wild because they are his former team. But how about the rest of the team? That was a pretty spirited game against the Rangers and now the next night they have to play in Minnesota. Brutal. I wonder if they'll have their legs going right off the hop tonight.
The last game the Wild lost was on November 8th against the Canucks. A 2-0 score. Luongo had his 3rd straight shutout. However the Wild have won 3 straight since then over Phoenix, Columbus and Pittsburgh. They outscored their opponents 9-3 in the process. Yes the Wild are rolling. But over the past 10 games the Canucks hold an advantage. Vancouver is 7-1-2 and Minny is 6-4. That is a reason why we are leading the Northwest Division right now. Yet not by much. The Wild are only 1 point behind. So just how much do the Canucks want to hang onto that spot?

-I believe Curtis Sanford is playing tonight.
-I also believe it is going to be very tough for the Canucks to put a solid 60 minute effort out after just having played in New York last night.

ALL ABOUT WOODY
A movie you would never get sick of watching...

No question, it would be Forrest Gump

Last place I’d ever be seen...

McDonald’s
There is a great little Wellwood interview at Canucks.com. I never knew his fave player was Mogilny. I also never knew why he wears #42. Head over to CDC to find out more.

BAUMER CALLED UP

According to TSN the Canucks have recalled Nolan Baumgartner from Manitoba today.

NO GABBY
Marian Gaborik will miss tonight's game due to a lower body injury. He has missed 14 straight games already as trade rumors run rampant.

TRAPPING WILD NOT SCORING MANY GOALS
Andrew Brunette would like to see more players scoring goals, but the team is also happy with their great start to the season regardless of that. Minnesota Star Tribune.
