Well, bad news right out of the gate: Willie Mitchell may miss about 5 weeks with a stress fracture in his vertebra. He has been placed on the IR. Sucky indeed. Willie is a capable and consistent player and leader for this team. Tonight will mark a Canucks franchise record as GM Place will have sold out 200 consecutive times.
Tonight's game will be close, as Dallas and Vancouver are usually separated by 1 goal every time they play (except Game 7 in round 1, hahaha). The Canucks have played the Stars once this year, defeating them 3-2.
But tonight we will have to rely on Curtis Sanford between the pipes, as Luongo takes his extended absence and spends time with his pregnant wife in Florida. Is Sanford up to the task? How will both teams play after a long layoff?

Norm McIver was called up yesterday. We could use his size against the bigger Dallas team. My big question is...why hasn't Luc Bourdon gotten a chance to play for so long?
