Belfour may play in Sweden

According to the Buffalo News:
It appears Eddie the Eagle is flying off to Europe.
The Swedish newspaper Sport-Expressen is reporting that former Florida goalie Ed Belfour is close to inking a deal with Leksand, a second division team in the Swedish Elite League.
This nullifies any chance of Eddie catching Patrick Roy for all time wins. He currently has 484 through 17 NHL seasons. Martin Brodeur has 494 wins in 14 seasons, and Roy had 551 wins in 19 seasons.

There is no room left in the NHL for Eddie as a starter, which I'm sure he only wants to be. I'm not so sure his off ice antics, age (42), and back problems have helped his cause to play on an NHL team again. In my opinion, he still has plenty of skills to do so. But his NHL career appears to be all but over.
On to the Hall of Fame...
