YAHOO SPORTS FANTASY HOCKEY POOL

New, comments

Here is an example of what the Yahoo Sports Fantasy Hockey poolie page looks like.
I entered one of these last season with Hodge as the administrator. He abused his powers like Hitler, but it was still fun.
YSFH has a live online draft so that anyone on the planet can join in. The administrator sets the draft date and time. Then all poolies select a player at a pre-determined order. Canadians pick first - Americans pick second! I kid.
A maximum of 17 players are picked. You will need a minimum of 2 centers, 2 left wingers, 2 right wingers, 3 defenceman, and 2 goalies. The last 6 are picked at your discretion. At the F (or forward) position you can put any type of forward in that slot. The Utility slot has the same function, except you can put a defenceman in there as well.
A maximum of 2 goaltenders can count for you each night. The rest are benched if you have more than 2 of them.
You will need balanced depth at all positions, as there is a maximum games played for each position, including Forward and Utility.
You can insert or drop players any time you want. YSFH has an updated list of available players that you can choose from that is sorted by rank and/or points.
So it's just like managing your own team. Trades amongst poolies may apply as well, but have to be approved by the administrator.
It's a heck of a good time. If you are interested, let us know through our FEEDBACK in our sidebar. We will release more info in the weeks ahead.
How much does it cost to get in? Absolutely NOTHING!
