Canucks also intend to cut ties with D Willie Mitchell, also bound for free agency tomorrow.

— Those are tweets from Matt Sekeres. Sad news for me personally. I have been a fan of all 3, but Willie Mitchell mostly. Mitchell, according to Dan Murphy is progressing well in his training but still is not scheduled to hit the ice for 2 more weeks. I have no reason to doubt that a team will sign him to a cautious 1-year deal. As for Balls and Woody, I think they will find NHL homes too. Stay tuned. We will be covering UFA day(s) very closely and keeping you up to date, preparing to cheer when Demitra signs elsewhere.
