The Canucks had to kill a 52-second, five-on-three power play by the Stars in the first. With Salo and Ehrhoff both in the box, Vigneault wasn't left with a lot of options on the PK.
"We had Romer [Rome] on the ice with Kes [Ryan Kesler(notes)] and Burr [Burrows] and I was looking down on the bench and had Tanev, Oberg and Sauve and I was going holy … I was thinking, are we going to need a time-out here. But our guys battled through it. That was the turning point of tonight's game."
