I can't get enough of it. I can't get the smile off my face today. "It's a wonderful day for an exorcism" indeed! I'll get more into Game 7 in the Canucks-Preds preview but let me say this: THAT game 7 will live in Canucks infamy. That was as crucial of a win as it gets.
Everyone needs to watch this video before Game 7. The music is an orchestral version of Metallica's 'One'.
This is why Bieksa is going to be traded. Watch, reminisce, and cringe.
Ben Eager nails Rick Rypien. Rypien, Alain Vigneault and other Canucks thought the hit was late and warranted a suspension. The NHL ruled today that no suspension was necessary. Eager quipped: "It was nothing," he said. "It was a big hit. There's big hits in the playoffs. It seems when ever there is a big hit these days everyone is talking suspension."
A great video of how towel power came to be...in hockey anyway. Did Roger Nielson / Canucks fans invent "towel power"? Not according to this article. While I hated the idea of "Thunder Sticks", the whiteouts from the Jets era (and others) and the other mass-color ideas for home games are great. Yet, (call me biased) towel power reigns supreme, especially at Canucks home games because it is such a big part of our history. Thank you Roger Nielson, R.I.P. Your legacy lives on. Tip to Dolemite at the CDC Forum for finding the clip.
