Demitra most likely done for the series - Salo may play in Game 4

Demitra has impressed my at an on-again/off-again basis all year. In the playoffs, he has been decent, but far from great, just like Sundin. I'm surprised Demitra lasted this long, actually. To be honest, I didn't miss Pavol last night, as Mason Raymond looked great on Line 2. Plus, having Pyatt back is completely worth it. Getting Sami Salo back is the key. Alain refuses to play Ossi Vaananen for more than 9:00 a game, so the other 5 get more ice time tacked on. Vigneault even stated after Game 3 that he didn't even want Ossi to touch the puck... Is Ossi really that bad?

Salo Not the Only Hurting Canuck

Everyone is talking about the loss of Sami Salo, who still remains doubtful for Game 3 (more like improbable) but Pavol Demitra and Alex Burrows also left Game 2 with some form of injuries. Not sure what happened to Burrows, but Demitra tried to hit a Hawk defenceman and got the worst of it. I believe he got whacked in the head. This is from TSN's Ice Chips. There are no further reports on any of those 3 Canucks. There is further speculation that Jonathan Toews is playing with somewhat of a serious shoulder injury. If that's the case, the Canucks should be running him more, much like they did to Al MacInnis a few years back. **UPDATE**Pavol Demitra was missing from practice today. Mason Raymond was playing with Kesler and Sundin, while Taylor Pyatt played on Line 3. Is Pyatt about to return? Stay tuned...

Canucks Are All Healthy

That includes Mats Sundin, who said today: "I feel good," said Sundin. "I’ve been skating and don’t have any symptoms out there. Today I felt really good." Willie Mitchell did not practice today, but Alain Vigneault said he will be ready. The team was playing with some physicality at practice today and some exchanges of words and bumps occurred between Kevin Bieksa and Ryan Kesler. Nothing serious. The team is anxiously waiting to play the next series. Taylor Pyatt is expected to participate in full practice and should be ready in the next couple of days, says Vigneault. Alright! This is good stuff! Bring on Round 2!
