Sedin
Daniel and Henrik Sedin - Playoff performers
That devilish James Mirtle: In his look at the depth chart of the Final Four teams, Mirtle had Ryan Kesler on the Canucks first line and Henrik on the second despite, well, the Sedin line holding both of the two most recent NHL scoring champions and Henrik Sedin plays slightly more at even strength than Kesler does (17.1 minutes/60 to 16.9 minutes/60).

Daniel Sedin: Mr. Accuracy (Video)
Dank goes 4 for 4 in his first round, then faces Patrick Kane in the Final and hits 4 targets in 5 shots, making Kane pound sand. Check it out:
Sedin Jerseys Still Not A Hot Item
I was talking Canucks with an employee at Jersey City in Kamloops a couple weeks back. We talked Luongo, the teams' chances, and sales of Sedin (especially Henrik) jerseys. I wasn't inquiring about the Hank jerseys because I wanted to buy one, but rather that there were so many of them and so few of other names on their respective racks. "Are you selling many Sedin jerseys?" I asked. "Not many" replied the employee. "Even after he won the Hart and Art Ross Trophy?" I asked in disbelief. "Nope not really," he replied. "Actually we sell more Rypien jerseys than Sedin jerseys." OK, that one surprised me. But maybe it shouldn't have. Personally, I don't know anyone that owns a Sedin jersey. (Except this guy). Do you? When I talk with people about purchasing a Canucks jersey the first names that come up are Luongo (well not Lou as much lately), Kesler, Burrows, Raymond, or retro Smyl or Linden...nobody says "a Sedin jersey." This isn't the first time an employee at a sports store has told me this.
Why do the Sedins get no love with jersey sales?
Henrik Sedin Wins Hart Trophy

For the first time in Canucks' history a player has won the Hart Trophy as NHL MVP. Congrats to Hank on his monstrous season and for winning the Art Ross and Hart Trophies. It is a day that Canucks fans will never forget and it's a day we should celebrate. MVP!
The Hart voting was close. Hank had 894 points, Ovechkin had 834 and poor Crosby had 729.
-TSN's coverage of Hank accepting the award and a few of his comments. By the way, it's pronounced se-deen not sedden Guy Lafleur.
-Here is Hank's post event interview after winning the award.
-Hank highlights from 2009/10.
-Hank! Hank! Hank! (h/t Oarboar).
Henrik took a shot at brother Daniel after he accepted the award, saying: "There's no way you can tell me your the better player!" Or something like that.
The Guy Who Passes To Daniel Sedin
One of the interesting aspects about Henrik Sedin suddenly being thrust into Crosby and Ovechkin's spotlight is that you have a number of puckheads trying to figure out why the sudden rise after nine seasons.
It's not as easy as you may think.

Sedins Climbing The Canucks Charts
The Sedins may be accused of getting too fancy with their plays, especially when the Canucks lose, (or go through a goal-scoring drought), but when they are clicking and "on" they make opposing teams pay, right Atlanta? It's great to see them not only putting up numbers in the first year of their new 5-year lucrative contracts, but also being on pace to exceed what they have done in the past.
Only once has a Sedin exceeded 82 points in a season, and that was Daniel in 2006-07 where he scored 84 points. Henrik, if he can remain healthy, looks poised to hit the 100-point plateau or exceed it. He is averaging 1.225 points-per-game. Daniel is averaging 1.231 points per game. Gee, how identical. This was brought up last night in the comments thread:
Henrik Sedin Trudges Forward Without His Brother
We should be hearing some news about Daniel Sedin's injury soon, as the cast was scheduled to be removed yesterday and more X-rays performed. In the meantime, Henrik is doing his best to put up numbers and squash that psychotic twins separation anxiety talk. Sometimes, it appears that he (at least visually) during games is not playing as well without his bro. Maybe it's mostly because we aren't seeing that dominating Sedin cycle right now, because as you can see below, he is still putting up the points.
Daniel's last game was that October 7th romp over Montreal. He had 4 assists in 4 games. Henrik had 6 points in those 4 games. Since then, Henrik has 10 points in 10 games. Still on par for an 82-84 point season, which is normal for him.
Just throwing a nugget your way and giving Hank some praise (edit: minus that brutal giveaway on the PP last night that led to the SH goal). Now how about some secondary scoring?
