Introducing myself to the world of hockey
My family hails from Seattle, but I am from southern California (hence the lack of hockey experience). NHL 2011 has taught me enough about the sport to know that I have been missing out, so I'm joining the hockey world. I hope this blog can teach me a lot about the sport.

An Alex Burrows update
Winger Alex Burrows has spent the past several days in Vancouver doing some rehab work on his surgically repaired shoulder.... The Canucks aren't saying when Burrows will be ready to play, but this type of injury generally requires anywhere from four to six months of recovery time..... it seems unlikely that Burrows, who led the Canucks with 35 goals last season, will be ready for the regular-season opener on Oct. 9.
