Career Stats:

Uncle Lou:

Corrado played his first 3 NHL regular season games and 4 playoff games in 2012-13, scoring no points but looking like a steady defenceman much like Chris Tanev.

This season, with the acquisitions of Yannick Weber and Ryan Stanton it was more difficult for him to crack the Canucks' roster, plus a year in the AHL didn't hurt him.

He did make appearances from December 30 - January 10, January 31 - February 8 and then closed out the season from April 5-13 as John Tortorella wanted to give him a look, as the Canucks were eliminated from playoff contention. He played 15 games, scoring 1 goal and no assists. He scored his first NHL goal in the Canucks' final game of the regular season against the Flames:

-In his first 7 games this season, Corrado had no points, 5 shots on goal an was a -1.

-In February, he played 4 games, had 4 shots on goal, had no points and was a -3.

-In April, John Tortorella gave him more minutes. Corrado responded with a goal , 11 shots on goal and was a +2 in those 4 games.

-Corrado had 6 goals and 11 assists in 59 games with the Utica Comets this season.

He's steady, like Tanev.

I don't know...f*ck. I do like to draw comparisons to Tanev. Both seem like guys that can play a shutdown role if need be. However....both guys need more size, more weight. Both get crunched regularly in the corners in their own zone. Yet both show a lot of resiliency. Both are quite reliable defensively. Neither seem like they have mean streaks in them.

Well that depends on a few things. Do the Canucks like what they see in Corrado? He is 22 years old now. Corrado will have to impress the team in camp again. But if the team thinks he needs more time to size up and improve we will know by July 1. Is Andrew Alberts done as a Canuck? We know Ryan Stanton is gold. That makes Bieksa, Hamhuis, Edler, Garrison, Tanev and Stanton the top 6 D-men unless one is traded. The same applies for 7th guy Yannick Weber, who I can personally see being let go.

Corrado at best is the Canucks' 7th defenceman heading into the 2014-15 season.
