I apologize for not posting leaderboards after the 2nd and 3rd rounds. After the Canucks got swept in the 1st round, I took a small break from hockey during the later rounds. However, now that our rivals have met in the Cup Finals and produced a winner, I might as well let you guys know how the fantasy playoff competitions turned out. Spoiler alert: trust the blog's writers, they know what they're talking about.
First up is the overall results for the brackets competition. Remember, if you forgot what your picks were, they are just to the right of this story in the storystream.

In case anyone is wondering how they earned more points in the Cup round than in the conference finals, that's because the points were awarded differently. In the conference finals, it was only 4 points for calling the winner of the matchup, with 2 bonus points for also calling the number of games. For the Cup round, this increased to 6 points for calling the winner, and 3 bonus points for the number of games. Sean Larson and Bearodactyls both called Chicago in 6 for the Cup round before the playoffs even started, which is why they get to celebrate. Also, BW79 has earned the dunce cap for the worst result I have ever seen.
Now for the players competition, with a winner some of you would rather not see.

That's right, no mistakes here. Sean won. Deal with it. He did well with the likes of Letang, Crosby, Sharp, Toews, Pavelski and Zetterberg among his picks. Passive Voice nearly caught him with the likes of Lucic, Chara and Hossa, but a possibly dreadful mistake could have been picking Pacioretty as one of his players (Max had diddly-squat). As I said in the 1st round leaderboards, Geordie Nuck bombed royally, despite later bursts of points from Kane and Toews.
There's always next year for retribution.
