Nobody knows what is ailing Cory Schneider. I think it's fair to assume a groin problem because you know how goalies and groins go hand in hand. But let me tell you something, Roberto Luongo was stellar in Game 1 and gave the boys a chance to win. But when it's the opposing player (Raffi Torres) scoring the only goal for you in a 3-1 loss, you need to place blame on the forwards.
And that is pretty much what coach Alain Vigneault did. He has shuffled the lines so that they look something like this:
Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Kesler - Roy - Higgins
Raymond - Lapierre - Hansen
Weise - Ebbett - Kassian
Worth a shot. Yea, I wanted the depth at center with Roy on line 3 but after THAT Game 1 effort, the Canucks need a spark. Kesler didn't seem impressive, so give him the speedy Roy as a center. Kassian's demotion is well-deserved. I know he's a kid and all, but jeeziz....dumb penalty and I wasn't impressed with much else from his game aside from that either. At least after Dale Weise took his stupid penalty, he came back out and did his job for the rest of the game, hitting guys at every turn.
But that's all I have to say about that.
Oh, and Luongo rules.
