In the spirit of vintage night, I was at this game in November 2010, where the Canucks wore the original 1970 throwback jerseys. We won that game 6-4, and I've said many times before that I picked a hell of a game for my first. - Rich Lam
Coming off a big 7-4 win, it is time for the Canucks to prove it wasn't a glitch in the trend, as they host the mighty Red Wings.

The Canucks needed a big snap out of their funk. With the shootout win against Columbus, and the routing against Nashville, we are starting to feel much more comfortable with how these guys are doing. The trick now, however, is to keep up the momentum. A couple weeks ago, we had a big 5-2 win against LA look like a bright spot, only to be followed by 3 more losses. We scored 7 goals the other night against Nashville, now the Canucks have to prove it was the start of something good.
Tonight's opponent will not let it be easy. Despite the speed bumps they have hit this season, the Red Wings are still a veritable Conference threat. They put us in our place a couple weeks ago, whipping us 8-3 at the Joe. Jimmy Howard is still a reliable goalie for them (I should know, I have him in fantasy hockey), and Pavel Datsyuk is still very good at what he does.
Time to prove it was the start of something good. Coconuts go!
