So today apparently is "trade for someone who used to play for you" day in the NHL. The LA Kings have trade Simon Gagne back to the Flyers in exchange for a draft pick. And shortly thereafter, the Canadiens brought back Michael Ryder (along with a draft pick) from the Stars in exchange for Erik Cole.

Gagne had spent his first 10 seasons in Philadelphia where he was an elite goal scorer when not injured. Ryder spent his first 4 years in Montreal where he averaged 25 goals a season and notched 30 goals twice.

So what former Canuck players out there do we most want back if we could get them? Ignore personality and fond memories of who they used to be, the question is who could best improve the roster we have now and give the team the best shot at the cup. Choose wisely!
