I knew it. I f**king knew it. The Canucks went into Detroit having played 3 road games in 4 nights (and 4 in 6). It just wasn't going to add up in the stamina category. I am sure they flew straight home after the massacre in Detroit and hugged their wives, kids, dogs, one-night stands or whatever and will be a lot more rested and focused for this home game against the damned Phoenix Coyotes, another team not quite in the playoff picture but very close. Another reason for a probable better effort? They don't play again until SATURDAY. At home against the Kings. That will be the longest break they get for the rest of the regular season.
Another reason: YOGA. Yup.
Fatigue. Yes I am factoring it in as an excuse for Sunday. A big factor. I have not read any mainstream media shit (except for the yoga link above) or been on Shitter or any forms since the Sunday loss, but I can imagine there's a lot of head-scratching and knee-jerking. Don't get caught up in that. Don't get caught up in Chicago's colossal point streak either. That shit will fall apart soon enough. Oh, and about that President's Trophy? F*ck the President's Trophy. Nice to have the home ice throughout the playoffs, but it's not mandatory.
None of that concerns me. What concerns me is the team's lack of identity. And by that I mean, mostly, there's still a lot of juggling going on with the lines, especially on defence. David Booth has not found a home on this team yet, and he's injured...again. Same goes for Jason Garrison. This kind of stuff I would like to see cleared up, HOWEVER...golly gee the team still has a 10-4-4 record. They still got 5 of 8 points on that last road trip. Just think of how good these guys are gonna be when it all comes together.
Gotta love Luongo's attitude after the Detroit game:

As for this game: expect boring and may we be surprised with the opposite happening. Phoenix may still be competitive, but the Canucks gotta take this one.
The Canucks, by my count, are 4-4-3 against non division opponents this season and 6-0-1 against the pathetic Northwest. That somewhat concerns me, yea.

YOU MADE MY SHITLIST
Ah geez, I hate to do this...but Jason Garrison is on my shitlist. I already picked on Booth last game preview then the fucker calls in sick. Now, Garrison was not in the negatives 5 on 5 versus Detroit but I don't care. 2 goals, 1 assist and 27 shots on goal in 18 games this season is not giving us enough. I don't care if he took a hometown discount. In all honesty, he seems like a cool cat though, so I am pulling for him to become that power play weapon and point producer that we need him to be. But Mr. Garrison, please hurry it up.
SCORE-PREDICTING WIZARDS LEADERBOARD
Only Booth-hater patrick e got a point last game for picking Zatta to score the winning goal. The rest of you are a bunch of brainwashed homers. I jest.
