The biggest storyline for this game perhaps isn't the Canucks-Hawks rivalry as much as this is a chance to hand Chicago their first regulation loss of the season. The Hawks are a mind-numbing 12-0-3 out of the gate this season, with one of those OT losses coming at the hand of the Canucks on February 1. That game, with all the hype surrounding it, turned out to be a bore, except for Roberto Luongo's super performance, especially in the shootout.

Chicago will need a win over Vancouver to tie the Anaheim Ducks' NHL record (2006-07) for points streak to start a season. So expect a playoff-like performance from them.

Look at their statistics above. They even just passed the Canucks on 5 on 5 play, with their power play going at the same clip the Canucks are achieving so far. Their PK is superb. It's crazy, but the Hawks can probably play .400 hockey the rest of the way and still get into the playoffs.

The Canucks look for their first win with Ryan Kesler in the lineup (0-2). It's strange how adding a superstar to the lineup can mess with team mentality / chemistry sometimes. The Canucks were on quite the streak before Kesler rejoined the lineup. And if you look at it from the point of view of the Raymond-Schroeder-Hansen line, who were playing so well with the increased ice time pre-Kesler, you can kind of see how maybe they are in a less-ice time transition. Some guys, like Zack Kassian, just disappear like a fart in the wind. Zack went from red hot to ice cold in the matter of a few games. As soon as he was demoted off the top line he has struggled mightily.

Now add David Booth to the mix, who, as we know, still had not really gelled on any line last season after getting traded here. How is he going to affect the mix? Is Alain Vigneault going to put the Team America line together again, even though it struggled last season? Probably. Kesler was playing on spare parts since February. Kassian will most likely head to the 4th line and the MayRay-Shredder-Beaker line stays intact because...well it kicks ass that's why. Booth needs to provide instant chemistry with Kesler to give the Canucks more scoring punch because Vancouver's next several games are against good teams (Chicago, Dallas, Nashville and Detroit). All of those are road games. They play 4 games over the next 6 nights.

PROJECTED ROSTERS / LINES

Cory Schneider, but why not go with Luongo vs Chicago? He was awesome against them Feb. 1.

SCORE-PREDICTING WIZARDS UPDATED LEADERBOARD

I always keep it updated here. Only Twin Terror got a point last game for picking Oshie to score the winner.

Here is the shootout from the last game between these 2 teams:

IT'S A GREAT DAY FOR AN EXORCISM!

Gotta give some kudos to Johnny Toews for fighting that oaf Joe Thornton lately:

Good stuff, Johnny. However, FUCK YOU JOHNNY! Your streak ends tonight!
