I'm still high over the Canucks spanking of the Bruins on Saturday night. But just to add insult to injury....It appears some of the Bruins hit the town after the embarrassing loss and one B in particular, had himself an altercation I would assume outside of a Vancouver bar that night. Yes, none other than one of our least favorite Bruins, Milan Lucic.
Ah...nothing is secret nowadays. This kind of thing I am sure is fairly common. But hey, hide your women, folks! Lucic is coming for them!
UPDATE: Lucic speaks:
“I was part of an unprovoked attack on Saturday night where I was punched in the face on two separate occasions. There was no reason for him to punch me. From this point forward we’re exploring this in a legal manner. That’s as much as I can say about it right now."
“It sucks to be in that situation, but you’ve got to take ownership of it and that it happened because you were in that situation. We came off a good road trip, and wanted to go out and blow off some steam . . . have a little fun. Unfortunately it ended the way it did, and hopefully it’s not a distraction to the team any further after today.”
"That’s one of the worst parts . . . that it's in my hometown," Lucic said. "Going back to the spray painting of the church and my grandparents, parents and family getting harassed during the Stanley Cup Finals in 2011, and now it’s escalated to the point where I get attacked for minding my own business.
"I have no reason left to try and defend my city, and the people of my city. I’m done trying to defend the city I’m from. I’m disgusted and outraged that it had to come to that. Other than being at Rogers Arena, no one will ever see me in downtown Vancouver ever again.”
