Enemy territory: Stanley Cup Of Chowder (enter at your own risk)
We all know the narratives that the media will spin.
The Bruins haven't been in Vancouver since they beat the Canucks for the Cup in 2011, and have also made the Finals again since then. Meanwhile, Vancouver's SCF hangover involved 8 losses in 9 playoff games to California teams. Sure, Thomas may be gone, meaning that Roberto Luongo can't pump his tires before this game, but the Boston group is still filled with enough dirtbags for BC folks to be happy about Chicago (of all teams) to win the Cup in 2013.
However, let's get back to the present. With last night's win over Edmonton, the Canucks is running on a 6-game winning streak, with the 2 most recent games earning shutouts. Now at 43 points, the Canucks got back into 6th in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, Boston leads the entire Eastern Conference with 46 points, further pushing the point that the West is much harder than the East. The Bruins are coming off 4 straight wins, 2 of which were taking advantage of Alberta teams.
Let's do this. Coconuts go!
