There's either a method to this madness, or the team is trolling the fans...

I'm just gonna quote Jason Botchford:
No real surprises to start training camp.
Here’s the way the lines shake out for Tuesday:
Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Raymond-Schroeder/Ebbett-Booth
Higgins-Lapierre-Hansen
Volpatti-Malhotra-Weise
Connauton (in for Hamhuis who tweaked his groin)-Bieksa
Garrison-Edler
Ballard-Tanev
Alberts-Barker
Schneider
Luongo
As Botchford says: not many surprises there. Not much time to prepare so the regulars need to get their legs before the season starts on Saturday night against the Ducks.

TSN's Farhan Lalji tweeted an hour ago that Zack Kassian has back spasms and Dan Hamhuis and David Booth have groin strains. As a result, all three missed practice today. Lalji states that the three players are listed as day-to-day.
$10 says we'll lose track of how many NHL players suffer groin strains this coming week.

While we don't know yet WHO the Canucks will all be inviting to Camp, we do know some dates and times for practices and scrimmages. I will just copy/paste from Canucks.com:
Vancouver Canucks 2013 on-ice schedule- open to the public (subject to change)
Sun., Jan. 13 - 3:00 – 3:45 pm - Rogers Arena - Practice
Mon., Jan. 14 - 9:00 am – 12:30 pm - Rogers Arena - Practice
Tues., Jan. 15 - 9:00 am – 12:30 pm- Rogers Arena - Practice
Wed., Jan. 16 - 6:30 – 8:00 pm - Rogers Arena -Scrimmage (Ticket required)
Thurs., Jan. 17 - 6:30 – 8:00 pm - Rogers Arena - Scrimmage (Ticket required)
Fri., Jan. 18 - 11:00 am – 12:00 pm - Rogers Arena - Practice
These are all open to fans to watch for free, maybe except for the "tickets required" practices.
Which players are the Canucks going to invite to Camp from the Chicago Wolves roster? I think we can assume:
After watching Matt Climie shut out the Abbotsford Heat last night I wonder why he wouldn't be worth a look. Oh wait, he's not under contract.

As tweeted by Team 1040:
Canucks announce training camp practice sessions and scrimmages are open to the public. First session 3:00 tmrw afternoon at Rogers Arena.
That's a nice little gesture. How about offering free hot dogs and pop like the Anaheim Ducks are doing? And what about me? Huh? I don't live in Vancouver. What are you gonna do for me? I want a 60 of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum delivered to my doorstep, Mr. Gilman.

People have been waiting for this news all day, and have been waiting impatiently for that matter. Two hours from now, teams can begin making roster moves, trading, signing and all that fun stuff. Game on!
The regular season schedules should be released shortly. We do know the Canucks will play the Oilers at Rogers Arena on Sunday, January 20 thanks to an Oilers schedule leak on the HF Boards.

It looks as though Mason Raymond will start Training Camp on line 2. That may make many sigh in discontent however: Alain Vigneault had this to say today:
"Mason has proven in the past that he can score and Booth has proven he can score at the NHL level," added Vigneault. "They’ll get an opportunity and if they don’t do it quickly enough we’ll have some decisions to make. You guys know how quick I am on the trigger."
It looks like Maxim Lapierre will center Chris Higgins and Jannik Hansen on line 3. Andrew Ebbett and Jordan Schroeder will get a chance to center line 2. Manny Malhotra will likely center Dale Weise and Zack Kassian on line 4.
Chris Higgins said that he prefers to play the wing:
"You play along the boards more and that’s a strength of my game," he said. "I’m happy to help out anywhere but I prefer to play wing and I just love the way Jannik plays. He’s tenacious with a hard forechecking style and is a smart player with a good amount of skills."
