Chicago defeated the Milwaukee Admirals 3-1 in their preseason finale. Eddie Lack played all 60 minutes to earn his 2nd win in as many preseason games. The Wolves scored all 3 of their goals in the 2nd period. Jordan Schroeder scored an even strength and a power play goal. Defenceman Mark Matheson also scored for Chicago. Derek Joslin, the free agent defenceman the Canucks signed this past summer, registered an assist on Schroeder's PP goal, giving him 3 assists total in preseason action. Schroeder tallied 3 goals in the preseason.
The Wolves finished preseason action with a 2-1-0-1 record.
The regular season begins on October 13. Sportsnet will be airing AHL games this fall with no NHL action, so we will be able to catch some Wolves games there. Sweet.

The Peoria Rivermen (2-0-0-0) beat the Chicago Wolves (1-1-0-1) 4-2 on Friday in preseason action. Our buddy Billy Sweatt scored both Chicago goals. Wolves goalie Matt Climie faced 31 shots in the loss. Chicago was up 2-1 midway through the 2nd period, but Peoria scored 3 answered, including 2 goals in the 3rd period.

The Chicago Wolves have released forwards Riley Emmerson and Trevor Kell from training camp and assigned them to the Central Hockey League’s Missouri Mavericks. Chicago also has released the following nine players outright from training camp: forwards John Armstrong, Brian Bicek, Cody Crichton, Matthew Gingera, Keaton Turkiewicz ,Podge Turnbull and defensemen Vince Loverde, Dan Maggio, and Matt McCready.
