I tend to not pay attention to John Mayer, but I've heard this song many times, and it keeps popping into my mind whenever I think about the fact that this off-season is being a long and boring one for us Canucks fans. Since there's been a few more signings and such over the last few days, here are some news links to accompany this open thread.

• Flyers have signed on Scott Hartnell for a 6-year extension worth $28.5M.
• Predators have agreed on a 2-year deal for Mike Fisher worth $8.4M. Sounds like Mr. Underwood will stay in Nashville a little longer.
• Okay, Lubomir Visnovsky, you really took a chance there by crashing your car in a race in Slovakia this past weekend. Thank your lucky stars you didn't get hurt.
• TSN reports that the Oilers are already talking to Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle about new contracts. Both younglings are RFAs next summer.

I keep on waiting on the summer to end....
