Mats Sundin, Pavel Bure to be inducted into Hockey Hall of Fame

It has just been announced that former Canucks Mats Sundin and Pavel Bure are among the next round of inductees for the Hockey Hall of Fame. Pavel Bure kicked off his NHL career with the Vancouver Canucks in 1991, spending several seasons here before being traded to Florida in 1999. The "Russian Rocket" was a key player in Vancouver's 1994 attempt at winning the Stanley Cup, and has been well-discussed as a possible HHOF nominee for a few years now. Mats Sundin spent most of his playing career with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He spent his last season with the Vancouver Canucks, playing 41 games for us in the 2008-2009 season. Joining them as HHOF inductees will be Avalanche great Joe Sakic, as well as Adam Oates. The induction ceremony will take place on November 12th this year.
