+

No hurry to make decisions on Luongo or Vigneault BY IAIN MCLETCHIE THURSDAY, MAY 17, 2012 Canucks GM Mike Gillis joined BMac and Taylor Thursday afternoon on TEAM1040, discussing a number of Canucks-related topics. Gillis says he’s been talking to Alain Vigneault about the club’s plans going forward, but is in no hurry to announce anything related to Vigneault’s job safety or regarding a rumoured extension for Vigneault. He also talked with Roberto Luongo today (Thursday), but Gillis chose not to comment on whether he’s making progress towards moving Luongo. Gillis also commented on David Booth, who’s been in the news due to his bear-hunting excursion in Alberta, on the NHL playoffs to this date, and gave his thoughts on certain proposals that may or may not improve the game of hockey.
