If Coach V does not return, does the Hodgson trade make any sense? A significant part of the problem that Cody had with the Nucks was his relationship with Coach V - what was the point of trading him away (i.e., the best replacement for Kesler that the organization had to fill in as a 2nd line center) if GMMG was not going to commit to the guy who would not play him? I like Kassian, don't get me wrong, but if they guy is not a top 3 winger next year (and it does not seem to be the plan for him) then this trade was ridiculous. At the very least CH was good on 2nd unit PP and great in Shootouts.

Also, why is it that all these guys that were "junk" with Vancouver, like Pyatt, Grabner, Bernier... are doing well now? The Raymond's, Ballards, Alberts... these guys could play not so long ago, why can't they now? The Rangers and Devils have a bunch of defensemen that would not play for the Nucks but they are winning with them anyway - at some point you have to cook with the ingredients you have.
