If the Canucks had beaten the Flames last game we would already be celebrating first place in the West , as the Blues lost outright to the stingy Coyotes tonight. Now, all the Canucks need to do is get a single point against the Oilers to clinch. I like our chances. The Blues/Stars game starts at 5:00 PST on Saturday, so the Canucks may know where they stand when the puck drops at Roger's Arena. They will know for sure before the 1st period ends. So it's going to be a fun night. The Rangers will need to lose in regulation or OT/SO and the Canucks win in order for Vancouver to finish first in the NHL.

We will also know who our first round opponent will before bed time. San Jose? Los Angeles? Phoenix?

Line 2. What in the blue hell is going on? It looks pathetic. It's the Legion of Gloom line. How have they stacked up against the Oil this season? David Booth has 1 goal and no assists in 3 games. Ryan Kesler has 1 goal and 3 assists in 4 games against them. Mason Raymond has no points in 3 games. Maybe they break out in the final game. By the way, Chris Higgins, who some want back on line 2, has 1 goal and 4 assists in 5 games against the Oilers this season. Yeah, promote Higgins and get MayRay outta there.

MISC: A new King Of The Rink! Get to know Sammy Pahlsson better, including his fave ABBA song.

-David Booth: 0 points in his last 10 games. Ouch.

-Ryan Kesler: 1 assist in his last 11. Line 2 is fukt right now.

-Dale Weise: 0 points in his last 10.

-Chris Tanev: 0 points in his last 11.

-Manny Malhotra: 1 goal and 0 assists in his last 19.

-Sammy Pahlsson: 1 assist in his last 6.

-Mason Raymond: 1 assist in his last 6.

-Aaron Rome: 0 points in his last 8.

-Maxim Lapierre: 3 goals and 2 assists in his last 4 games. Bravo!

-Henrik Sedin: 7 assists in his last 4 games. Who's Daniel?

-Dan Hamhuis: 4 assists in his last 2 games. Wooo Smithers!

-Alexandre Burrows: 4 goals and 1 assist in his last 4.

-Alexander Edler: 3 assists in his last 3 games.

-Jannik Hansen: 1 goal and 1 assist in his last 2.

-Canucks. Luongo starts. Marc-Andre Gragnani needs to bounce back.

-Oilers. Most likely Devan Dubnyk starts in goal.

-For both teams. Ballard must be close. Looks like no Hall, Omark, Smid, Pecker or Peckham for the Oilers.
