For some reason, despite how brutal it was to watch the boys lose last year, '94 still hurts me more. My wife is a more recent hockey fan (she only started watching about ten years ago when we started dating), and is devastated by last year and doesn't get why I care about '94 at all.
I'm guessing those that are a little older are probably bothered by '82 more than I am.
