NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 14: Brandon Prust #8 of the New York Rangers holds on to Chris Neil #25 of the Ottawa Senators in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals during the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs at Madison Square Garden on April 14, 2012 in New York City. 3 games on tap tonight as we try and take our minds off things a little bit. Not easy to do, I know. But perhaps a little bit of perspective can be gained by watching the triumphs and struggles of others.
- The Rangers and Senators square off in Game 3 tonight in Ottawa. Both teams have had players suspended, and the Sens are missing their best player in Daniel Alfredsson, out with what could be a concussion after the headshot from Carl Hagelin in Game 2. Hagelin is suspended for the next 3 games, and the Sens are also without Matt Carkner, who got a 1 game ban for jumping Brian Boyle.
- Canuck Nation will be pulling for the Capitals as they take on those scum from Beantown tonight in Game 3 at the Verizon Center. The Canucks aren't the only team struggling to score. Boston's managed a whopping 2 goals thus far, as Washington goalie Braden Holtby has not only allowed the Caps to tie it, but could very well help the underdog Caps unseat the defending Champians. I fully expect Lucic to try and decapitate Holtby tonight. It's what they do.
- Finally, the Sharks are back in San Jose, tied 1-1 with the St Louis Blues heading into Game 3. This series has been getting nasty as well, and it doesn't look like it will cool off any time soon. St Louis responded well in Game 2 after the double OT loss in Game 1. Let's see how this sub par road team does out of their comfort zone in what will be a loud and unfriendly Shark Tank....
