The Game 7 loss still hurts. It always will until the Canucks win the Cup. That Cup Finals was too schizophrenic for my liking. Especially from Game 3 - on. I never even watched the whole Game 7 and probably never will. A great Canucks team that I think crashed in the face of adversity. A great Bruins team that adjusted in that series and took it over with super goaltending, stellar defence, physicality and timely goals. Having said all that

Star-divide

I am feeling old school about tomorrow's game. I want to watch a war. I wanna see Bruins bleeding and hurting. I want the Canucks to win in the trenches and on the scoreboard. Is that possible? I admire the Bruins...but Smeagol wants to see them "dead". The players can down talk this all they want but you know there is a big can of gasoline sitting too close to the fire.

A loss? I'll be choked. Plus, it will only be around 12:30 pm....I don't wanna spend all day thinking about it.

A win? I will gloat and troll. All day long. Damned straight. I need the appeasement. I think the Canucks do too.

4-3 Canucks

BURR GWG. Invigorated by the boo’s. Because holy hell is he going to get booed.

Bringing out the Canucks rally baby for this one.

I surprisingly don’t feel very emotionally invested in this one. Not as hyped as I used to be for CHI games after our inevitable playoff flameouts. Looking forward to it, but win or loss, nothing changes. Game 7 sucked really hard, but the B’s deserved it, and a January game changes nothing in my mind. Will be a fun game though : )

But the Canucks want it more. Which is why I think the game will be close, not a customary Bruins blowout.

You're not wrong.

Hawks are a one-and-done team in the playoffs by the way they’re playing now.

But the team has always had a problem falling in love with itself after stretches of awesome play, and after having the best record in December, I guess they decided it was circle-jerk, pimp-walk time.

Hopefully they snap out of it soon and once again realize winning in this league takes both talent AND effort.

I will never pick Boston for anything except what I flush in my toliet.

That OT goal

of Burrows represents all that is right in the world … all the way down to Timmy leaving the ice at warp speed.

Though Chara going down in slow motion in a failed attempt to stop the pass to Raffi is particularly delightful as well.

A selective memory of that series is a wonderful thing.

Wysh on criticism of Luongo this morning
So the catcalls rise: He’s a coward. He can’t win the big game. He isn’t mentally tough enough to win in a big spot on the road. To which we’d ask: Does your cable television provider stop broadcasting National Hockey League games after the first round of the playoffs?

I suppose if there's a place to watch the game

Maui certainly ranks right up there. Hope it’s as good as the location for you, dude

2-1 Nucks

KesLord GWG
That night still haunts. Myself and a friend the only Vancouver jerseys in a bar full of Boston Boogers, being taunted all night, heading home and hoping to hell my friends made it out of the riot ok.
Fucking kick their asses Canucks. I want to see every player take out a Bruin. I want more hitting than we saw in Game one of the CHI series. That was beautiful.

3-2 Canucks Kesler. Make Tim Thomas beg for mommy.

Set your sights to improve...And rest inside the flames.

Good morning, friends

I’m a Bruins fan, but I like your team’s chances today. Good luck!

That said, I think Vignault is making a huge mistake by not starting Luongo. I don’t care what sort of rationalizations he has for it, sometimes you have to do things just for the appearance. For example, in the Buffalo revenge game (for Lucic running Miller) Tim Thomas got the start even though it was Tuukka Rask’s turn in goal. He had to, otherwise it would look like the Bruins were protecting him from a challenging game… and that’s unfortunately how it looks for the Canucks right now.

Anyway, looking forward to a good game.

rationalizations

jesus. even when you guys are nice.

if you don’t get it, then fine, but there are no rationalizations.

most of us that know our team pretty well knew this would happen, because AV is a player’s coach.

1st game in the kid’s hometown in his 5 year pro career, he gets the start.

thats it. no “hiding Lui, no protecting Lui, nothing”

get over yourselves, you know? the amount of assumptions and insults made by the media from your town is just sad.

not that i really blame you, its easy to parrot the crap from a whole cadre of cheerleading media. but none of it is true.

4-0 nucks

AMFB gets the GWG on beautiful piece of sedinery, plus another couple of Sedin goals and I really think Kesler deserves one as well. Shut out for the ginger jesus.
