that the Canucks trade Schneider this time. He is just too good for us and can win huge games. Unless it is a blockbuster trade. And I just don’t see a blockbuster trade happening, with this team.

is that the Canucks sign him in the off-season (and you are right, it is may be expensive), and then they have the whole summer to trade him with for what he is really worth.

I think you're right on that one.
But I honestly think teams have seen what Schneider can do already. Last year he showcased his talents beautifully and this year he’s picked off where he left off. I don’t think it would be necessary to sign him to a big contract to get a good return. Technically, I believe we could get some very good player(s) for him before the trade deadline this year if we wanted to considering there are quite a few teams where Schneider would be an upgrade in even the No1 spot. (I hope that’s not the case)

Then there's the issue of
if we can even ‘afford’ to pay some “very good” player(s) considering what I just mentioned about us being so close to the cap and the uncertainty of next year. I don’t know, like missy said it get’s complicated and my brain has pretty much shut down already so I can’t think straight. But it’s an interesting topic that’s for sure.
