Alberts can shoot?

Who saw that coming?

The sexiest Canucks Fan in Mississauga, Ontario. Or something like that.

I doubt he can actually hit the net. Sami’s shot is harder and more accurate.

Oh Burr…you smug bastard : )

The continents don't drift. They back away slowly from Ryan Kesler.

A few comments ...

After his win, Higgins said he still feels out of shape. Did not show abs to prove it one way or another.

Ballard was asked if he expected to win or if he thought the forwards would take fastest skater … he said he was happy to beat Mase but [deadpanned] that everyone knows that defensemen are the better skaters.

Sami (who got the biggest cheer of the intro when it was announced he was participating) acknowledged Edler’s skills and said he was pretty sure Edler (who shot 100.0 and 99.9) let him have it since he’s at the end of his career. Crowd didn’t care and gave Salo full props.

Kes was pretty smug when he got 4 in 5 and played it up to the crowd. Burr went next and went 4 for 4 – so played it up even bigger. One of the wee guys also got 4/5, as did a couple of other Canucks.

CoHo took the accuracy competition very seriously – between all the other shooters he was out there practicing taking passes. Guess he’s taking his new sniper reputation seriously.

Daniel played it up for a laugh when it was his turn. They hadn’t put new targets in, so he just went ahead, took four shots, then raised his hands in triumph. He didn’t do quite so well once the targets arrived.

Lu and Schneids were great all day. After they pretty much stoned everyone in the breakaways (Lu let in just the one, and Schneids 2), the announcer acknowledged their prowess at stopping 18 shooters who each had 2 attempts. Then commented that perhaps we now know why the Canucks struggle in shoot-outs. This was met by awkward silence … but he had a point. Some of the attempts were … well … awkward.

Fin won the musical chairs competition, beating the Buffalo Sabres “Sabretooth” to the final chair – not sure why that wasn’t on the highlight reel?

I guess Recchi will come out soon saying Salo’s concussion wasn’t that big of a deal if he was able to take part in a skills competition.

Watched Salo in that video

and remembered why our PP has been having troubles. Salo is so underrated.
