Since the posts on this blog really slowed down yesterday, I figured I would post an open thread today, where we could have some fresh ice on which to talk about today's games. Listed below are all the games, with times in PST and the Canadian national networks showing them.
- 9:30 am: Blackhawks vs Red Wings. (TSN2)
- 12:00 pm: Stars vs Avalanche.
- 12:00 pm: Devils vs Jets. (CBC)
- 4:00 pm: Rangers vs Maple Leafs. (CBC)
- 4:00 pm: Canadiens vs Senators (CBC)
- 4:00 Sabres vs Islanders.
- 4:00 pm: Bruins vs Hurricanes.
- 4:00 pm: Sharks vs Blue Jackets.
- 5:00 pm: Wild vs Blues.
- 5:00 pm: Flyers vs Predators.
- 7:00 pm: Kings vs Flames. (CBC)
Also, some notes and news for this morning:
- James van Reimsdyk is out with a concussion.
- Daniel Carcillo is out for the rest of the season for knee surgery.
- Columbus has claimed Colton Gillies off waivers from Minnesota.
- Cue the jokes: Rick DiPietro is out 10 weeks with a sports hernia and knee swelling. He will need abdominal surgery.

I am a big fan of the Canuck/Wings model of overcooking your prospects in the heat of the minors first.
Shitty teams tend to do it because they are better than what they have, I guess right?

yeah, Detroit should be more of a concern to us right now than Boston.
