Canucks Withdrawal Syndrome Upcoming
Holy crap.
- There are only 4 Canucks games over the next 12 days.
- There are only 5 Canucks games over the next 19 days.
- Damn you, All Star festivities!
- On the positive side: Less games without Salo! More time to rosterbate!

OUCH – guess this is where the compressed schedule comes back to bite the team. Lots of chances for other teams to burn up their games in hand.
They need the break, and time to focus on fundamentals again. Aside from the Boston game, this road trip has been brutal
"Playin hurt, baby that don't faze me. I don't got time for pain. The only pain I've got time for is the pain I put on fools who don't know what time it is!"
According to Botch, he mentioned that the Boston game wasn’t a great game played by the Canucks either. They got away with it because it was so disjointed, and their PP clicked at the right time. Does anyone agree?

Jesus you guys
3-1 on a roadie in some tough barns, and we focus on the negative?
They won! Whether its because of a goalie or a power play, the bottom line ( because Stone Cold says so…) is all that matters.
It aint figure skating, where they land the triple axel for extra points. Were there things that can get tuned up?
Absolutely. Lots of time to do that now at home, after the best road team in the NHL just finished an 18 in 36 stretch with 12 on the road.
I know I would be running on fumes by then…that is a helluva grind.
And no, I am not making excuses ;-)
Brutal seems a bit strong to me…

I never said “brutal”. Semi did. I don’t think it was brutal so don’t pluralize it. I agree with Botch’s statement though. Not that I care much because we won anyway.

I mean
Winning when you play pretty crappy is great, and I’ll take it any time. And I know they’re tired.
But the most important time to focus on making smart decisions is when you’re tired! If you can do it then, you can do it anytime.

Well we are canucks fans
it’s in our nature to gnash teeth and whinge at everything. Look at the treatment Lu gets in this city by some… by nature we’re a critical bunch. And let’s face it…the team as a whole didn’t play well that road trip. Yes we won, but as smart hockey fans we can see that this little section of lots of space is nothing but good for the team. I don’t think anyone doubts that the bottom line is the key, but I don’t condemn anyone for saying we need to work on this or that or fix whatever right now. Now if people were whining about how bad the team is, that’s a different thing. The reality is that the team DOES look gassed and DOES need a rest and some back to basics practices. That is only good, not negative.

Nah.. don’t get me wrong. Loved that we got out of Boston with 2 points, (whether it’s deserved from our play is debatable), but I’m very relieved that our PP clicked, and it reinforces that the GMMG’s methodology should work if we are to meet Boston again in the playoffs.

I just wanted to confirm what I saw, in our poster’s esteemed eyes. (Little sarcasm intended, I trust your eyes way more than I trust our media).

I was trying to be light!
just giving you guys a little soft shot in the shoulder.
Of course they can be better. #1 in the league, with a team that can beat you in many ways, but with a GM that wants to make it even more of a juggernaut?
I’m all in. I would never equate my friends here with the morons that call in to TEAM ( and not all of them are that, some good calls at times too )…but its like, after a three in four, if you did not know the record, you would think we were the Blue Jackets around here sometimes!
Just having fun though….

The both need AND deserve a break. Sloppy but successful road trip.

That’s a bummer. I may even crack and watch a Leafs game or two. Or CGY for lulz.
The continents don't drift. They back away slowly from Ryan Kesler.
Positives: Much more time to laugh at Montreal
