"You have to swallow your pride," said Dave Babych, who had an 18-year career as an NHL defenceman and now works with Canucks defensive prospects. "You're tough people, physically and mentally, and to ask for help it's kind of the last thing you do.
"It's one of those things: If you think you need help, you try to hide it."
