PrintFirst of all, Manny Legace has been released. I don't see another NHL team signing him but wish him luck regardless. Other players cut:
Kellan Tochkin (sent back to Medicine Hat - WHL team)
Anton Rodin, Alex Friesen, Taylor Ellington, Prab Rai, Adam Polasek and Stefan Schneider have been assigned to the Chicago Wolves. Matt Clackson and Nathan Longpre have been released to the Wolves.

The Canucks also announced on Friday that they signed their 150th overall pick in the 2011 Draft, defenceman Frank Corrado. He has been assigned to his OHL team, the Sudbury Wolves.

Not surprised at many of these cuts
Rodin unfortunately didn’t look too great, but there’s potential there. He just needs to get stronger, and also make sure that shoulder of his is fine. We don’t want him having lingering shoulder issues in the future.
No sign of Ellington too – is the guy even cleared to play after the concussion he suffered last year?

Assigned vs Released
What is the difference between being “assigned” to the Wolves, and being “released” to the Wolves?
'Assigned' versus 'Released'
Clackson and Longpre, who were ‘released’ to the Wolves, were with the Canucks on pro tryout (PTO) offers. They didn’t earn a contract, but the Canucks give them the chance to continue and try out with the Wolves. All of the other guys are Canucks property still, so they were ‘assigned’ to the Wolves.
