Shippagan, New Brunswick needs your help in the name of fallen Vancouver Canucks defenceman Luc Bourdon.
As part of TSN hitting the road during the 2011 Kraft/TSN Celebration Tour to visit 10 Canadian communities in 10 days, 10 communities will also receive a grand prize of $25,000 for a new facility.
Shippagan has proposed building an outdoor rink in memory of Bourdon and Yanick DeGrace, the first player drafted into the NHL out of the town of roughly 3,000 who was also lost in a car accident, in 1991.
Jonathan Gagne, a representative speaking on behalf of the Shippagan bid, said that with the exception of a few pieces of memorabilia, neither Bourdon or DeGrace have been properly remembered. He wants to rectify the situation.
Voting is from today until tomorrow at 8:59 AM. Click the Canucks.com link above for more info or VOTE HERE. There are no limits to how much you can vote. Please help out Luc's home town.
