Nik Kypreos (the real one) is tweeting that the Canucks have reportedly signed Sami Salo to a 1-year $2 million contract. He's still looking into the details. Salo surprised many with his durability in the latter stages of the playoffs and personally I thought he played rather well. As for the deal...well the UFA D are getting paid tons again this offseason but I would have preferred the same length but less dollars with incentives tacked on for games played. Having said that, $2 million is a lot less than the $3.5 million he earned last season.
