Canucks asst. GM Lorne Henning confirms that key #Canucks RFAs Jannik Hansen, Maxim Lapierre, Victor Oreskovich sent qualifying offers.
That from Jim Jamieson on Twitter. That leaves Sergei Shirokov, Lee Sweatt and MacGregor Sharp as the only RFA's without qualifying offers. Mario Bliznak was signed by Czech Team HC Sparta earlier in June.
By the way, the deadline to give RFA's qualifying offers is today at 2 PM PST.

I’m not sure if you get off resigning your (what? 13th? 14th?) defenseman on the depth chart when he’s coming off a pretty significant injury.
I wouldn’t put him that far down the list.

And I would definitely put Sweatt around 8-9 on the depth chart right now (assuming we bring back Bieksa/Salo/Hoff)

The depth chart look was more creative licensing, but, still.
I can’t make an adequate assessment of his value without a good chunk of AHL numbers, but it seems we’re sort of stocked with young defensemen. I’d love to see more of Yann Sauvé and Chris Tanev ahead.

I would have preferred more of Sweatt than Sauve at least in the brief glimpses I’ve seen. All in I’d rather they all come to camp and leave it all out on the ice.

…one third. Good – that’s just fine for the depth. I really need Raymond to have a bounceback season and Samuelsson to at least look threatening before I’l be happy with the second, though.
Somewhat surprised at Shirokov not getting tagged, though. He’s taking a bit longer than hoped, but I think he’ll reach the NHL next year, even if it’s not a the beginning of the season. Well, unless Florida signs him.
